Did he died?
Ah well, he'll get a resurrection in the new system

why are you a theist or a deist?
please give any or all reasons why without resorting to a god of the gaps argument.
that is the only condition i am making, since in my (& presumably every other atheist's) opinion, a god of the gaps argument simply isn't convincing enough to demonstrate that there is a god, only that there might be a god.. thank you.. p.s.
Yeah but i don't like you.
He's dead? What you talkin' about Willis?!

You probably became a believer when you found out Richard Dawkins was an atheist.
here is the most thrilling moment of my life.. i got to meet my film composer heroes john barry and miklos rosza at the beverly hills writer's guild theater for a seminar on filmmusic.. i was 30 years old at the time and going through my "you look like clint eastwood" stage.
(i'm trying to explain my crazy hair!).
i chatted with them and got them to sign my albums.. what was your most thrilling moment?.
Making love for the first time at age 24. Sorry, someone had to do the obvious...
I have to say, i am yet to have a sexual experience which i could describe as being one of the most thrilling moments of my life. That said, i am only 22, but i have been with quite a number of people, male & female.

Well, it isn't i who is defining God, it is the believer. However, i have not yet encountered a single deist or theist concept of God whose existence can be demonstrated. I would perhaps make an exception for pantheists, since they are merely asserting that God is nature, but in that case, i personally think that they are being misleading by referring to it as God, they might as well just call it nature.

Thank you.
P.S. I shan't be critiquing your answers, as i do respect people's opinions, & i only resort to anger when people put words in my mouth (as any truly observant person will have noticed), but i've made sure not to allow that in this thread by keeping the opening post simple & to the point. I will be reading any answers that are given though & i am interested & will respond to any questions you'd like to ask me about why i reject theism & deism.

Going to the kingdom hall.
i find that wherever i go, people just gravitate toward me.. is that your case?.
syl.
I find people tend to be offended by everything i do.
i have a customer that is a born-again christian.
i have to say that i always found these people terrible to deal with as a jw on the ministry.. obviously now i try to take the woman at face value in a non-judgemental way.. however, having had a few conversations with her i have to say that her outlook & general way of talking is remarkably like that of a jw.. she mentions things like punishment from god a lot.
being victimised by others because she is a christian.
No, they're just crazy.
